Illulian PERSPECTIVE 02 Patterned rectangular Himalayan Wool and silk rug

Perspective 02 is a rug designed By Zaha Hadid for Illulian, belonging to the architectural Collection of the Limited Edition, handmade with Himalayan wool,natural silk and vegetable colors.‎ The line was created on the original drawings by the acclaimed designer, who was the first female architect winner of the Pritzker Prize.‎ The Natural Field Collection by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) is characterised by the extreme dynamism and fluidity of the defined, sometimes daring, lines, which alternate with expressive curves that are intensified by the materiality of the rugs.‎ Interwoven threads of silk produce a sheen that interacts with the matte of the Himalayan wool.‎ This generates dynamic interplays between figure and ground, which always change with the light, giving the illusion of a three-dimensionality that both challenges and redefines the notion of space.‎ Interlace and Perspective are inspired by the inherent conceptual intersections between ZHA’s architectural research and practice, and the materials and manufacturing process of Illulian’s handmade, all-natural rugs.‎ All the rug models of the large Illulian production are knotted and carded by hand and can be produced in two qualities, Platinum 120 and Gold 100, which enchant with their chromatic appeal obtained from the brilliant vegetable colors used.‎ Platinum 120 quality represents the most exclusive line, characterized by the use of the highest quality hand-spun wool and pure silk as well as an extremely complex process - 180,000 knots / m2 - which allows to create reliefs with very scenographic effects.‎ Gold 100 quality offers rugs hand-knotted in wool and silk, always of great charm with a density of 152,000 knots / m2.‎ Moreover, thanks to the Custom Made service, consolidated key strength of the brand, it is possible to bring to life an absolutely bespoke rug, through the choice of colors, design, and size.‎ These prestigious pieces can be chosen for residential spaces as well as for contract projects, such as museums, showrooms, hotels, restaurants and nautical solutions.‎
