Bright and vivid colours characterise Symi, the rug with intersecting and overlapping coloured lines. An intersection that is as symbolic as it is real, where the pictorial gesture transforms the sign from manual to digital, replacing the canvas with the iPad, until it becomes a tactile surface, entirely to be discovered and composed of extremely refined warp and weft.
The rugs are crafted from wool and silk in Nepal. Knotted and carded by hand, all Illulian motifs enchant with their chromatic charm achieved by the brilliant plant colours used and can be produced in two qualities, Platinum 120 and Gold 100.
