divide is a KS-BUS isolation module.‎ Its function is to separate a portion of the bus connected to the control panels, thus isolating a portion of the system.‎ This way, any failures or sabotage of peripherals connected to the bus will not compromise the operation of the rest of the system.‎ Furthermore, the resulting signal regeneration allows the range to be extended by an additional 500 m.‎ Given the nature of the device, no programming is required: the control panel and/or devices on the bus continue to "detect" each other transparently.‎
