Porta IoT is a licensed gateway device that communicates via the http/https protocol, one of the protocols that allows thousands of different IoT devices to communicate with each other.‎ Porta IoT interfaces easily and immediately with lares 4.‎0 control panels, eliminating the need for SDK integration.‎ This is possible because Porta IoT exposes the http/https APIs that allow, among other things, to: include/exclude, raise alarms, and reset zones; activate/deactivate monostable/bistable outputs; run a scenario; and arm/disarm partitions.‎ The device includes the HTTP Gateway license, making communication two-way and allowing the control panel to send signals to third-party devices to perform actions, such as: sending commands to smart Wi-Fi devices to activate their outputs; sending commands to motorized cameras to frame specific areas or activate particular functions.‎
