PH Snake Chair is a steel chair with upholstered seat in aniline leather or Kjellerup Væveri wool fabric.‎ Seat available in 5 colours: Light Blue wool fabric, Blue wool fabric, Marine Blue wool fabric, Black & Grey wool fabric, Black & Brown wool fabric or in Black leather, Mocca leather, Walnut leather, Natural leather, ndianred leather.‎ Steel frame available in Chrome or Dark Copper (gloss) Upholstery finishes: full upholstery around the tubes / visible steel tubes highlighting the unique shape and design.‎‎ Poul Henningsen designed two radically different stools which are today made by PH Furniture: the PH Snake Stool and the PH Stool.‎ Both are beautiful pieces of art that stand alone as a functional sculpture.‎ On the one hand, the PH Snake Stool is a playful design icon on permanent display in the Design Museum Denmark.‎ On the other hand, the elegant PH Stool perfectly matches the PH Dressing Table and provides the ultimate in comfortable seating.‎ The PH Snake Stool is a piece of art and can be used as stand-alone piece of furniture in a variety of contexts, including the workplace, lobby, bedroom, kitchen and entry hall.‎  In 1932, Poul Henningsen presented eight tubular steel furniture designs at the Danish Fair for Industrial Design and Products.‎ Bold, elegant and radically modern, the pieces stood apart from the wood furniture that defined the time.‎ Although they drew attention in the Danish press, the collection never entered serial production.‎ The market was not yet ready for such avant-garde designs, and the technology of the 1930s could not fully realize their complexity.‎ Their curved forms and innovative construction were simply too advanced for the period.‎ Only today has it become possible to reproduce them with the precision they require.‎ After years of research, development and the search for the right craftsmanship, the collection has finally been brought to life.‎ Each piece is produced in full respect of PH’s original vision and proportions.‎ The result is a collection that still feels strikingly contemporary almost a century later.‎ Functional yet sculptural, these works stand as timeless design pieces made for daily use and lasting value.‎  Further info from manufacturer on PH SNAKE CHAIR PH Pianos & PH Furniture
