Designed in 1932 by Poul Henningsen, the PH Table is a calm centrepiece for dining, meeting or display. A precise wooden top rests on bent steel tube legs reminiscent of the roots of a tree giving the table lift, stability and a light visual footprint. The expression is quietly architectural: refined enough to sit ‘centerstage’, robust enough for daily use.
Finishes: tabletop in natural oak, black oak or mahogany; base in chrome
In 1932, Poul Henningsen presented eight tubular steel furniture designs at the Danish Fair for Industrial Design and Products. Bold, elegant and radically modern, the pieces stood apart from the wood furniture that defined the time. Although they drew attention in the Danish press, the collection never entered serial production. The market was not yet ready for such avant-garde designs, and the technology of the 1930s could not fully realize their complexity. Their curved forms and innovative construction were simply too advanced for the period. Only today has it become possible to reproduce them with the precision they require. After years of research, development and the search for the right craftsmanship, the collection has finally been brought to life. Each piece is produced in full respect of PH’s original vision and proportions. The result is a collection that still feels strikingly contemporary almost a century later. Functional yet sculptural, these works stand as timeless design pieces made for daily use and lasting value.
