CLIMALIT®
Insulated glass
The CLIMALIT brand identifies traditional type insulating glass units, produced according to a specific specification either directly by companies within the Saint-Gobain group or, under licence, by independent companies carefully selected and controlled by Saint-Gobain Glass. A CLIMALIT glazing consists of two panes of glass and a spacer profile, which delimit an air or gas (Argon or Krypton) cavity. The sealing of the chamber is guaranteed by a double hermetic barrier consisting of organic sealants that ensure mechanical stability.
The configuration of CLIMALIT constitutes an excellent thermal insulator, compared to simple glass:
it hinders heat exchange between the two rooms it delimits, insulating against both cold and heat, thanks to the thermal resistance of the dry air in the cavity. CLIMALIT offers interesting possibilities for saving energy consumption (calories and refrigeration).
The use of a minimum thickness of 4 mm on each pane provides an important acoustic correction factor. This property can be enhanced and/or supplemented by other specific Saint-Gobain Glass panes, thus creating a wide range of double glazing.
The UNI conformity mark certifies that the insulating glass units meet the requirements of the UNI EN 1279/1-2-3-4-5-6 standards, based on the inspection of the quality control system and the monitoring of the production process by accredited external inspectors, and also on type tests carried out at an external laboratory.
CLIMALIT insulating glass units are identifiable by an indelible mark affixed to the glass in an angular position, which provides all the parameters for permanent identification. CLIMALIT insulating glass units are produced, following specific specifications, directly by Saint-Gobain Group companies or, under licence, by independent companies carefully selected and controlled by Saint-Gobain Glass called CLIMALIT PARTNERS.
This organisation guarantees product quality and rapid delivery thanks to the numerous production and installation centres located throughout the country. CLIMALIT insulating glass units are capable of performing their function for many years, and in fact products built in the 1980s are still perfectly functional.
This certainty and the checks carried out at the production units several times a year, both by Saint-Gobain Glass technicians and by the
