Saint-Gobain Glass COOL-LITE® SKN 174 Glass

COOL-LITE SKN 174 and SKN 174 II are solar control glasses with a highly effective functional deposit.‎ This deposit is applied to clear PLANILUX float glass by means of a vacuum cathodic deposition process.‎ COOL-LITE SKN 174 II is the first glass in the new SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS range of 'toughenable' solar control deposit glass.‎ In order to activate thermal and solar control performance, as well as its aesthetic appearance, COOL-LITE SKN 174 II must always be toughened or tempered before being assembled in insulating glazing (deposit in face 2).‎Having comparable aesthetic and functional characteristics, COOL-LITE SKN 174and SKN 174 II can be installed on the same façade without any problems.‎ COOL-LITE SKN 174 / SKN 174 II can be used in both commercial and residential buildings, both in façades and roofs.‎ They are the optimum solution for applications requiring toughened or tempered glass, particularly in large façades.‎
