ECOLOGICALLY COMPATIBLE silencer for ventilation holes.‎ ECO SIL-BLOCK® is a patented silencer for ventilation holes that protects the living environment from noise pollution (as required by art.‎2 of the D.‎P.‎C.‎M.‎ of 5/12/1997 - passive acoustic requirements for buildings) without pressure drops and thermal bridges.‎ Why ECO SIL-BLOCK®? SILTE has designed ECO SIL-BLOCK®, the first silencer for ventilation holes with low environmental impact, completely recyclable and built with material from the collection of plastic bottles.‎ This is why eco Sil-Block® is not just sound insulation: it is innovation, comfort and energy saving.‎ Ecological and recyclable ECO SIL-BLOCK® consists of a shell made of high-density expanded polypropylene (EPP), a material with high insulation properties, which is lightweight, completely ecological and recyclable.‎ The sound-absorbing material ofECO SIL-BLOCK® is polyester fibre: hypoallergenic, 100% recyclable and derived from the collection and processing of PET bottles.‎ ECO SIL-BLOCK® is suitable for low environmental impact constructions.‎ High sound insulation ECO SIL-BLOCK® has a sound insulation value Dn,e,w=52 dB laboratory certified according to UNI EN ISO140-10 standards.‎ Low thermal conductivity Eco Sil-Block® 's EPP shell guarantees minimum thermal conductivity and is designed to avoid thermal bridges.‎ ECO SIL-BLOCK® is the right choice for energy-saving construction.‎ Self-supporting ECO SIL-BLOCK® is self-supporting, it replaces the brick during construction and this makes installation easier, faster and cheaper.‎ The high-density expanded polypropylene (EPP) outer shell guarantees excellent mechanical resistance and the ability to absorb shocks without breaking.‎ There is no need to make holes in the wall to install it, so the cost of installation is zero.‎ Universal and easy to install ECO SIL-BLOCK® adapts to any wall thickness thanks to the hole with a mouth designed to accommodate common Ø160 mm connection pipes.‎ Reductions can be made from the supplied plugs to accommodate Ø125 mm pipes.‎ It can be installed either horizontally or vertically.‎ ECO SIL-BLOCK® is lightweight, weighing less than 1kg, which makes it easy to handle.‎ Installation 1After constructing the external perimeter partition according to the project specifications, drill a 170 mm hole.‎ 2Position ECO SIL-BLOCK® on the internal partition wall; fit the connecting pipes of a length suited to the thickness of the wall (use commercially available Ø 160 mm pipe, alternatively Ø 125 mm with reductions made from the plugs); close the openings with the plugs.‎ ECO SIL-BLOCK® can be laid either horizontally or vertically.‎ 3 Continue laying the bricks on top of ECO SIL-BLOCK®.‎ 4Apply plaster mesh and level with mortar.‎ 5 When the wall is finished, cut off any protruding parts.‎ 6 Finally, apply the grids (not supplied).‎ Inspectable ECO SIL-BLOCK® has a Ø160 mm hole that makes it inspectable and allows easy removal of any foreign bodies.‎ Special system for acoustic correction
