Singchan Design PILLAR #01 Hexagonal dining table
Totems of information, ancient stone pillars, the unexpected result of repetition and obsession. Restricted by the technology of their time, the stone columns of antiquity were crafted in segments, relying on arches and their own gravity to press tightly together. Employing a similar principle, the base of the PILLAR #01 table is composed of stacked solid metal rings, paired with a substantial metal tabletop. These two parts achieve a state of stability through their own weight, and since they are not fixed, the tabletop can rotate freely, making it a table with a primal, robust feel.
