XROOF - Система подчерепичной теплоизоляции из экструдированного полистирола
The extruded polystyrene foam XROOF thermal insulation panel is covered on its upper side with an embossed aluminium foil. A ribbed and perforated aluminium, zinc and silicon alloy coated steel batten is inserted in the panel, which, in addition to providing support for the laying of the roof covering, favours the micro-ventilation of the underside and the conveyance into the eaves of accidental meteoric infiltration from the roof. XROOF is the ideal solution for the thermal insulation of roofs of all types, suitable for the renovation of roofs in old buildings and for the construction of new roofs.
Conformity to C.A.M. of the XROOF range
The products in the XROOF range conform to C.A.M. or can contribute to achieving the objectives for the following aspects:
- 2.4.2 Energy performance: due to their excellent thermal performance, they can contribute to the achievement of energy efficiency targets for buildings;
- 2.4.14 Disassembly and end of life: they can be easily removed from the substrate thanks to their mechanical support and disassembled;
- 2.5.7 Thermal and acoustic Insulating materials: Products in the XROOF range
o Are CE marked according to UNI EN 13164;
o Do not contain substances of very high concern according to REACH in concentrations above 0.1%;
o Are not produced with ozone-depleting blowing agents;
o Are not produced or formulated with lead catalysts;
o Do not contain blowing agents exceeding 6% of the weight of the finished product;
o Contain more than 10% recycled or recovered or by-product of xps (with 5% minimum recycled) according to the table in paragraph 2.5.7.
- 2.6.2 Selective demolition, recovery or recycling: they can be removed from the building and sent for recovery or recycling by mechanical or chemical operations.
XROOF
The panels are quick and easy to install, thanks to their easy handling and workability even at height due to the lightness of the material. The thickness of the panel must be chosen in the appropriate size to guarantee obtaining the U thermal transmittance value envisaged by Ministerial Decree 26/06/2015 in the various climate zones. For a correct application, it is sufficient to comply with simple installation rules, use the accessories to complete the installation, and previously check the thermo-hygrometric behaviour of the entire roofing package with specific software.
In order to guarantee the second waterproofing of the surface, the panel must be used on pitches with slopes greater than 30%; below this value, additional waterproofing systems must be used.
- XROOF thicknesses: 60mm, 80mm, 100mm
XROOF XL
The XROOF XL panel, while retaining all the technical characteristics of the standard version, is equipped with an integrated steel roof batten, coated with aluminium alloy, zinc and silicon, which ensures greater roof ventilation, amounting to more than 200 cm2/ml of eaves.
During the summer season, the homogeneous flow of air, from the eaves to the ridge, increases the conditions of thermo-hygrometric comfort, favouring the disposal of the heat transmitted by the roof covering and increasing the life of the elements that make it up. In addition, during the winter season, it allows moisture to escape and prevents the formation of mould and condensation phenomena.
The evolution is not limited to increasing the ventilation chamber: thanks to its profile, XROOF XL perfectly retains the tiles and always provides maximum walkability, even in the presence of very high pitch gradients.
XROOF XL creates a load-bearing deck that is easy to walk on, in accordance with the installation instructions and load-bearing capacity table shown in the catalogue. These factors, together with the opposed leaf design, allow for safe, quicker and more economical laying.
- Xroof XL thicknesses: 80mm, 100mm
SLOPE OF THE SLOPE
Xroof, to guarantee the performance of second waterproofing, must be applied on pitched roofs, paying attention to the slope of the same as recommended below. In any case, follow the technical instructions provided by the manufacturers of the different tiles.
