Diafil is the inspectable dirt separator filter for thermal power plants complete with magnet and drain for periodic cleaning, designed to measure clogging via pressure sockets with threaded connections. Useful for cleaning the system from processing residues and ferrous dust.
Diafil is necessary when you want to protect the thermal power plant from deterioration due to the presence of impurities, plastic residues, processing residues and iron dust in the circulating water. Thanks to the special drain sleeve, cleaning can be carried out quickly and easily without having to dismantle parts of the filter. Furthermore, the presence of pressure sockets upstream and downstream of the filter allows you to identify, by installing pressure gauges, the moment when the filter needs to be cleaned.
The fluid enters the central body of the filter where it slows down, thanks to the sudden increase in section, allowing the heavier particles to fall downwards due to gravity, with a typical action of the dirt separator. Subsequently, the flow is forced to enter the filtration septum for the mechanical separation of the particles remaining in suspension. The magnet is positioned in the center, completely immersed in the flow: in this way the attraction effect of the ferromagnetic powder is maximized. The low-speed vertical path facilitates the separation of the air upwards and the subsequent deaeration from the vent valve.
To clean the filter element, Diafil must be periodically unloaded and opened.
