LecaPiù is the special expanded clay for moisture-sensitive floor substrates.‎ It is a lightweight aggregate which, thanks to its cellular structure enclosed in a clinkerised bark, optimises the relationship between weight and strength.‎ Its use is extremely interesting in the construction of thermal insulation thanks to its certified low thermal conductivity value (λ = 0.‎09 W/mk).‎ LecaPiù does not retain moisture, its imbibition coefficient after 30 minutes of immersion is approximately 1%, and it does not contain organic materials or their derivatives.‎ It does not rot, it does not degrade over time, it resists acids, bases and solvents well, and it retains its characteristics unaltered.‎ It is non-combustible (Euroclass A1).‎ When subjected to frost, it does not crack or soak.‎ It is in practice an eternal material.‎ The origin of the product, together with an environmentally friendly production process, allows LecaPiù expanded clay to be an eco-friendly product and ANAB-ICEA certified for applications in Green Building.‎ Fields of use LecaPiù is suitable for all the uses of traditional Leca and especially where low moisture contents are required.‎ - Lightening layers of two-layer sub-bases.‎ - Dry floor sub-bases and lightening of single-layer screeds.‎ - Fillings and thick insulation layers.‎ - Drainage and thick ballast layers for roofs.‎ Advantages Dry Lecapiù does not retain moisture.‎ The coefficient of imbibition after 30 minutes immersion is approx.‎ 1%.‎ Pumpable It can be pumped up with special tanker trucks or with pneumatic pumps already mixed with cement.‎ Lightweight The density of 520 kg/m³ for Lecapiù 0-4, 350 kg/m³ for Lecapiù 3-8 and 320 kg/m³ for Lecapiù 8-20.‎ Practical Packaged in 50 L polyethylene bags, it binds well with cement and is easy to mix in normal concrete mixers.‎ Thermal insulation Thanks to its internal cellular structure, Lecapiù has low thermal conductivity.‎ Its use is extremely attractive in the construction of durable thermal insulation.‎ Resistant Thanks to its compact, non-deformable outer skin, Lecapiù has good compressive strength.‎ With a low dosage of cement, light concretes can be produced, which are suitable for bearing loads on subfloors.‎ Non-combustible Lecapiù has a fire reaction of Euroclass A1(non-combustible): the best guarantee against fire.‎ Ecobiocompatible Lecapiù is certified by ANAB-ICEA for Bioarchitecture.‎ Further info from manufacturer on LECA®PIÙ Laterlite
