Amaoto is a versatile vase, both decorative and functional, which enhances flowers and at the same time adds a touch of delicacy to the environment. Its shape combines an essential polygonal cylinder with a removable saucer designed to collect fallen petals. Available in two sizes and two colors, it elegantly adapts to any type of interior.
Tetsuo Takahashi recounts: "One evening it started to rain heavily. Thinking back, I realized that the weather had been fine for a long time and not a single drop had fallen. I made a coffee and stayed looking out the window without thinking of anything. The drops seemed particularly large, and the sound produced by hundreds of millions of them (probably even more) hitting the ground resembled a dance of gods in the sky. Concentrating on the rhythm of the rain, I was overcome by a sudden drowsiness and decided to take an hour's nap on the studio sofa. I slept deeply and had a short dream: a dream of 'amaoto', that Japanese word for the sound of rain."
