The Kimono rug is an authentic kilim, hand-woven with a traditional technique that gives it lightness, fineness and great resistance – made with a blend of 80% New Zealand wool, 15% cotton and 5% polyester.
The Kimono rug is inspired by the fabrics of traditional Japanese kimonos, often decorated with symbolic floral motifs made of silk or cotton. The flat weaving technique allows for a slightly blurred design, which recalls shibori and yuzen dyes, where the motifs gently diffuse into the material.
Lightweight and refined, Kimono evokes a moving fabric and can also be displayed on the wall, like a modern decorative tapestry.
