PIZ - Система фасадного облицовки
PIZ is an innovative system, developed by ZECCA Prefabbricati, for façade cladding in civil and industrial buildings. The structure is installed by mechanically fixing light alloy rails onto which the Zecca insulation panel is then fixed. The panel consists of a modified fibre-reinforced cement mortar facing coupled with a sheet of insulating material. The cement element has a groove on the upper and lower edges to accommodate the mounting profiles. In addition to aesthetically upgrading buildings, the primary function of the PIZ façade cladding system isthermal insulation in buildings. The company, in a continuous quest for innovation aimed at improving product performance, has recently replaced traditional EPS with Neopor® (developed by BASF and containing graphite particles) on its entire production, obtaining, for the same thickness, a 13% increase in the thermal resistance of the panel. The environmental sensitivity at the heart of the company's philosophy dictated the decision to offer a material with superior thermal performance at the same price, without any additional cost for the customer. PIZ was developed to meet the growing needs of the construction market in terms of energy savings and architectural qualification of buildings. The system is intended for cladding all types of buildings for both renovation and new construction. The PIZ System is also available with a high-efficiency self-cleaning active principle.
SYSTEM COMPONENTS
1. Modified fibre-reinforced cement mortar facing, attached directly to the fixing profiles.
2. Certified quality anchoring systems.
3. Sintered expanded polystyrene insulation support.
4. Light alloy profile
ADVANTAGES
- Aesthetic effect: Maximum design freedom, modern configuration, expressive possibilities, combinations of formats, colours, joints, surprising results in aesthetic upgrading of existing buildings.
- Performance: Weather resistance (water, wind, heat, cold), good fire behaviour (certified material), impact and abrasion resistance, breathability, avoids condensation and mould, increases living comfort.
- Economy: Low cost, savings in energy consumption, no maintenance costs, direct application on any surface without any preventive work (no need to make or redo plaster).
- Durability: Metal structure suitably treated with anti-corrosion protection, excellent quality cement mantle, certified anchoring systems, insulation that does not fear elements of alteration.
- Ease of laying: Simple and safe laying on any type of surface, even irregular ones. Often no remedial work is required on laying surfaces. No special equipment or particularly skilled labour is required. The system is easy to inspect: the eventual replacement of a panel does not present any difficulty.
- Versatility: Cladding of façades of civil, industrial and commercial buildings, in the case of new constructions, renovations and requalification.

PERFORMANCES
- Specific thermal conductivity of the panel:
standard 54 = 0.66 W/sqm K
plus 66 = 0.52 W/sqm K
H 89 = 0.38 W/sqm K
- Vapour permeability: breathable system with open joints.
- Panel vapour permeability: μ=86
- Water absorption: at full immersion water absorption after one hour less than 0.03 Kg/sq.m.
- Panel weight: average weight approx. 20 Kg/sq.m.
- System resistance to vacuum loading: variable according to size and type of joint min = 3300 N/sq.m. max = 8319 N/sq.m.
- Impact resistance falls within category I and III of the European standard passes the 400 Joule soft impact test and the 10 Joule hard impact test
- Reaction to fire:
PIZ standard 54/Plus 66/H89 Euroclass B-s1-d0
PIZ Metabio A2-s2-d0
- Panel thickness 54/66/89 mm. including 9 mm cement mortar, 45/57/80 mm thick insulation layer made of sintered expanded polystyrene. Aluminium mounting rails available in standard black or silver, all RAL colours on request. Anchoring systems chosen in the design phase according to the type of support. Panel format: standard format as per table with the possibility of variation of +/- 20 mm.
COLOURS AND FINISHES
The vast assortment of colours and finishes makes it possible to always find the solution to best characterise the building according to specific requirements. The eight basic colours, plus white, are declined in 5 shades thus forming a range of 40 colours. The available finishes are smooth, sandblasted, shot-blasted and striped.
INSTALLATION
The PIZ system can be mounted on any surface (reinforced concrete, brickwork, metal structure, etc.).
In the case of renovation, no special preparation or cleaning of the supporting wall is required.
Installation consists of fixing special profiles in which the panels are engaged to the wall using anchoring systems.
Installation is carried out with simple mechanical operations requiring neither labour or special equipment nor components other than those supplied with the system.
The panels are installed in horizontal courses.
Vertically, they are installed in courses from bottom to top. The most common schemes can be realised with both heights of the PIZ insulation panel and also with studied alternations of height and width.
CERTIFICATIONS
The PIZ System has the following international certifications: ETA 06/135 (European Technical Approval), DTA 2/12-1492*02 Mod and QB mark. The system is certified to Euro fire class B-s1-d0 , PIZ Rock-Metabio is classified to Euro fire class A1. A further guarantee of the PIZ system is the Reale Mutua insurance policy no. 12854 covering replacement costs in the event of a defective product. Raw materials, finished product and components are always tested in the laboratory to ensure their performance qualities and durability. The mechanical fixing guarantees the best behaviour to thermal excursions, the fibre-reinforced cement face, mass-coloured with mineral oxides, ensures maximum colour stability.
