Moulded element in grey sintered expanded polystyrene (EPS) with excellent thermal insulation and vapour permeability characteristics.‎ Unique in its kind, VENTUS is made with a special groove moulding that allows for ventilation, collection and downward channelling of any condensation that may form.‎ The grooves, moreover, in the case of direct casting, allow for better anchoring of the concrete, giving the roof both insulation and mass.‎ The element is supplied in 120 x 40 cm panels equipped with anchoring dowels and is available in different EPS thicknesses to provide the necessary roof insulation.‎ The elements can be used in both roofs and under-floor slabs.‎ The VENTUS insulation board has a series of small grooves on the side facing upwards, which must be positioned from top to bottom when laying.‎ These grooves have the important purpose of collecting and conveying any condensation that may have formed in the ventilation chamber to the eaves at the bottom.‎ The VENTUS insulation panel is also ideal as underfloor insulation or flat roof insulation for the upper floor slab, as the grooves have the function of creating and guaranteeing a mechanical connection between the VENTUS and the slab, thus preventing movement and slipping of the concrete slab due to traffic vibrations or earthquakes.‎ Further info from manufacturer on VENTUS PONTAROLO
