URETEK ITALIA
Cavity F illing® is a technology developed by Uretek to achieve the filling of underground cavities and crawl spaces by pumping Leca® expanded clay and injecting Uretek Geoplus® expanding resin at high expansion pressure.
Cavity Filling® technology by Uretek fills underground cavities by pumping Leca® expanded clay with controlled granulometry and subsequent injection of Uretek Geoplus® expanding resin with high expansion force in order to saturate the internal volume, compact the grains making up the filling and allow a pre-set prestressing value on the walls.
STEP 1 - Backfill with Leca® expanded clay
STEP 2 - Injection of Uretek Geoplus® expanding resin
STEP 3 - Expansion of Geoplus® resin
THE STEPS OF THE INTERVENTION
When cavities are detected in the subsoil that could become the cause of surface collapse due to collapse or deformation of the cavity walls, it is necessary to intervene before complete structural failure occurs in the subsoil. Uretek, with its Cavity Filling® technology, is able to solve this problem with a few simple operations:
1. FREE SURVEY
Uretek technicians will come and carry out a survey to check the dimensions and geometry of the cavity.
The survey is a quick, non-invasive and completely free operation that does not bind you to a contract.
2. SOIL DRILLING
A mesh of holes will be drilled in the ground to allow the pumping of Leca® expanded clay and the injection of Geoplus® expanding resin.
3. PUMPING OF THE EXPANDED CLAY
The expanded clay is pumped through a directional nozzle. This procedure will fill approximately 95% of the cavity.
4. INJECTION OF THE EXPANDING RESIN
The Uretek Geoplus® expanding resin is injected until the cavity is completely saturated and the contrast pressure required by the project is reached on the vault.
THE BENEFITS
The Uretek Walls Restoring® method is absolutely effective and decisive when it is necessary to reconstruct the binder inside works made of brick or stone or mixed material.
