Firerock is a rigid, medium-high density rock wool panel, coated on one side with aluminum foil, for fireplace insulation.
Application
The product is particularly suitable for insulating fireplace hoods. The aluminum foil-covered surface of the panel must face the heat source, i.e., the flue.

Fire behavior: Rock wool is noncombustible, helps prevent the spread of fire, and can significantly increase a structure's fire-retaining capacity. It is an ideal insulation material for fire-resistant structures.
