THERMOBLOK® – Skuro BASIC 90 is a thermal insulation monoblock designed to house hinged shutters and blinds, engineered to ensure high thermal insulation performance, continuity of the building envelope and precise, secure installation of the shading system. Fully made to measure, it can be configured for the installation of the window or door frame either flush with the internal wall or centred, adapting to specific design requirements. The window or shutter frame is recessed on three sides and, where the wall construction allows, the system can also be configured to accommodate a fly screen recessed on three sides. The front rebates are available in 72 mm or 54 mm configurations, whilst the fourth side, an 80 mm recessed rebate, is fitted with a dedicated thermal break.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
The system is made from Neopor® EPS (sintered expanded polystyrene with added graphite) with a density of 30 kg/m³ and a declared thermal conductivity of λD = 0.030 W/mK. The top cross-member and side walls incorporate an 18 mm plywood load-bearing structure, which ensures strength, precision during installation and continuous insulation of the window opening. The integrated sub-frame allows the window or shutter to be fitted either flush with the internal wall or centred.
The distinctive feature of the system is the perimeter structure designed to anchor the hinges, ensuring a secure and long-lasting fixing of the shutters or blinds. The monoblock is available in two configurations:
P version, with a continuous 57 × 60 mm Purenit® perimeter strip, designed for fixing the hinges using chemical anchors, either on the window reveal or on the façade.
Version L, with a continuous 57 × 60 mm laminated timber perimeter strip, which allows the hinges to be fixed using wood screws, with fastening systems suitable for the wall substrate.
The TBK Skuro BASIC 90 thermal insulation side walls, 90 mm thick and with a depth that varies according to the project, help to reduce thermal bridges and ensure the correct installation of both the window unit and the shading system.
The fourth thermal insulation side, the TBK Type 80, made from high-density XPS, completes the window assembly by eliminating the lower thermal bridge. The special recessed design facilitates assembly with the side jambs and is designed to accommodate the window sill. The system is supplied with a dedicated thermal break in XPS for windows and in Purenit® for French windows.
The system can be supplemented with numerous optional extras, including provision for a recessed fly screen via a special aluminium profile and the TBK skim-coating system, comprising external wall insulation mortar, a plaster-reinforcing mesh and technical PVC profiles to ensure professional installation and a finish that blends seamlessly with the façade.
THERMAL PERFORMANCE
Linear thermal transmittance of the jamb (Ψ): 0.000 W/(mK) without external insulation and 0.019 W/(mK) with external insulation, in accordance with UNI EN ISO 10211.
Linear thermal transmittance of the fourth side (Ψ): 0.044 W/(mK) without external insulation and 0.17 W/(mK) with external insulation, in accordance with UNI EN ISO 10211.
