A concrete is considered impermeable if, when subjecting a prismatic test specimen to increasing water pressure for 4 days (2 days at 1 bar, 1 day at 3 bar and 1 day at 7 bar) it does not penetrate more than 20 mm into the test specimen.‎ ANTÌDRO® is a concrete formulated with pozzolanic cements or slag cements that allow the formation of extremely compact and chemically stable mixtures.‎ In addition, a careful study of the composition, the definition of a low water/cement ratio and the use of selected quality additives make it possible to reduce the presence of water in the mix, thus increasing the degree of cohesion and compactness of the product.‎ ANTÌDRO® therefore possesses superior compactness and impermeability thanks to its high pore and micro-pore filling power, which is the cause of water permeability in reinforced concrete structures.‎ Applications ANTÌDRO® is suitable for use in all structures whose surfaces are occasionally or constantly in contact with water.‎ Good pouring methods and careful curing are required to maximise the waterproofing capacity of concrete.‎ Examples: - tanks and swimming pools - foundations and underground elements - hydraulic structures - canalisation works - sewage treatment plants Advantages - high compactness and resistance - superior impermeability: no need for additional protection treatments - excellent workability - ease of paving
