COÉSIO® is a concrete with compensated shrinkage, formulated with the addition of selected expanding agents to reduce the occurrence of cracking phenomena due to the natural tendency of concrete to shrink in volume.‎ This phenomenon appears in two forms at two distinct times: as plastic shrinkage during the initial setting phase of the concrete and as hydraulic shrinkage during the first week of hardening.‎ In both these phases COÉSIO® reduces the effects of shrinkage thanks to its ability to increase its volume and expand its mass.‎ In addition to this expansive action inherent to concrete, the counteracting forces generated by the formwork help to increase the state of prestress necessary to compensate for subsequent natural hydraulic shrinkage.‎ Applications COÉSIO® is suitable for the construction of any type of vertical or horizontal structure where the main requirement is a high degree of effectiveness in limiting the shrinkage effects of the casting during the critical setting phases.‎ To maximise the anti-shrinkage properties of concrete, a good casting method and careful curing are required.‎Examples:- foundations for large machinery that produce vibrations - foundations - grouting reinforcement of pillars, piers and beams - restoration of structural elements - flooring in general Advantages - absence of cracks and micro-cracks after proper laying and curing - high compactness - high workability - rapid laying
