OPTÌMIO® XF4 - Due to their physical properties, concretes manufactured to exposure class XF4 are recommended for the construction of horizontal structural elements (slabs, road pavements, bridge decks) that are exposed, directly or indirectly, to mist containing de-icing salts, frost or spray water containing de-icing salts or sea water.‎ Indicated environments All environments characterised by high water saturation in combination with the presence of de-icing salts or sea water.‎ Examples: - Concrete with horizontal surfaces directly exposed to frost and de-icing salts or surfaces subject to frequent wetting in the presence of de-icing salts or sea water Pre-mixed structural concrete.‎
