Self-compacting concrete is a special, innovative concrete with physical characteristics that distinguish and differentiate it from all others.‎ It is a product that requires considerable quality control of the constituents and an in-depth study of the mix-design.‎ Thanks to its rheology, AUTOCOMPATTO® concrete fills formwork and adheres to reinforcement bars through the action of its own weight alone, remaining homogeneous and compact.‎ Visually, it is very fluid but has a high viscosity and cohesion.‎ AUTOCOMPATTO® concrete formulated with special additives and a grain size curve designed and dosed in its fine parts is a product with excellent thixotropic properties.‎ To guarantee its mobility, the aggregate with the largest diameter is carefully selected and dosed; to guarantee its cohesion, there is an optimal quantity of fine parts (cement and filler and/or ash and/or silica fume); to reduce the w/c ratio and to guarantee its rheological properties, state-of-the-art superplasticising additives are used; finally, to minimise bleeding and segregation, special additives are selected to increase its viscosity.‎ AUTOCOMPATTO® has remarkable flow and filling capacities and an excellent chemical-physical stability that eliminates any possibility of component separation.‎ These characteristics give reinforced concrete structures homogeneity, impermeability and durability far superior to those achievable with other types of concrete.‎ Applications AUTOCOMPATTO® is specifically designed for practically any type of structure, especially those with complex geometry or high density metal reinforcement, as long as they are not inclined structures such as roofs or stairs.‎ It is particularly suitable for fair-faced surfaces to which it provides high uniformity.‎ Advantages - self-levelling, does not require vibration - can be used for structures with complex geometry and/or shape - homogeneity and uniformity of castings - maximum ease of pumping - quick laying
