ECOPLANET PRIME is a green cement characterised by low hydration heat development with good initial strength and conforming to UNI EN 197/1, it is designed to guarantee high durability in structural concrete works exposed to aggressive environments (such as sulphate resistance), according to UNI 9156. The composition includes a reduced clinker content of 45-65% and a calcined natural pozzolan and ash content of between 36 and 55%.
The pozzolanic connotation of the product makes it highly resistant to chemical attack
Environmental sustainability:
- The reduction of fly ash in favour of calcined natural pozzolan in the production of the binder is a factor of sustainability as it projects itself into a carbon-free future
- The use of ECOPLANET PRIME compared to a national average cement allows a reduction in Net Emission of CO2 per unit of product equal to 45%, which rises to 53% compared to a portland cement. (Calculation made in accordance with GNR criteria)
- The product is circular: the use of demolition waste with material cycle closure in the clinker
- Within the scope of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification and CAM (Minimum Environmental Criteria) the product contains a recycled content of approximately 30%. ("Guideline for quantifying the content of recovered, recycled or by-product material in cement production for the purpose of self-declared environmental claims or for certification by a conformity assessment body" by AITEC)
