Hydromedia is suitable for various types of applications such as cycle paths, residential car parks, walkways and roads subject to environmental protection. In these applications, Hydromedia returns rainwater to the subsoil, helping to reduce the hydrogeological risk in the areas concerned.
Hydromedia is a concrete with a high degree of permeability which, by combining the properties of concrete with advanced drainage technology, allows water to drain away very quickly directly into the ground or into a possible collection system, allowing the aquifer to be naturally recharged or the water itself to be recycled.
MAIN ADVANTAGES OFFERED BY HYDROMEDIA
Hydromedia allows you to:
Increase the infiltration capacity of the soil, consequently reducing surface runoff and rainwater runoff.
Avoid water stagnation that can lead to the formation of dangerous ice sheets.
Reduce the heat island effect, decreasing both surface and perceived temperatures, on average 10°C compared to asphalt.
Reduce costs related to flood prevention systems (catch basins, grates, etc.).
Being laid ‘cold’, it does not release emissions into the atmosphere and reduces risks for the operators involved.
The natural colour is grey but can be delivered, subject to verification by our Technical Service, in a wide range of colours that allow for a high aesthetic performance and perfect integration with the surrounding environment.
