RIPPLE
Rectangular coffee table with tray and storage space
The Ripple low table is a sculptural lounge piece, inspired by the relaxing rhythm of ocean waves. Its design translates that familiar movement, instinctively perceived by the body, into a functional and tactile object.
The structure consists of two intertwining volumes: a light wooden top and a more anchored base, which visually collide to create a harmonious ensemble. The base integrates a discreet drawer, while the top, as if set in the undulating shape, is removable and can be used as a serving tray. Mounted on invisible wheels, Ripple moves easily through space, adapting to different configurations and uses.
Designed by Anne Boysen after hand-modeling the shape in clay, observing the movement of water against stone, the table is the result of a dialogue between physical modeling, 3D animation, and material experimentation. The result is a balance between movement and stillness: poetic in expression, practical in use. Ripple invites pause and contemplation, conveying fluidity and serenity without sacrificing functionality.
Made of molded polyurethane and satin black lacquered, Ripple features soft curves that evoke the movement of waves. The deep, smooth-gliding drawer, perfectly integrated into the shape, allows everyday objects to be stored without interrupting the purity of the design. The round top in bleached varnished oak, removable, completes the project, allowing for service or temporary space organization.
Thanks to invisible wheels, Ripple moves easily, adapting to any use and confirming the perfect combination of sculptural aesthetics and daily practicality.
