Vernici intumescenti for steel structures provide passive fire protection through a process of expansion of the components that, at high temperature, form a highly insulating microcellular layer capable of slowing down the rise in temperature of the substrate (intumescent behaviour).
The products offered are, depending on the customer's needs, both water- and solvent-based, ready-to-use and can be used, depending on the type, indoors and outdoors.
Suitably dimensioned, on steel structures, Vernici intumescenti paints allow exceptional fire resistance up to fire class R120.
The paints are easy to apply and allow for simple restoration operations in the case of accidental chipping or removal.
The products allow for beautiful-looking interventions and ensure that the original structural geometries are maintained, especially for all elements that must remain visible for aesthetic reasons.
Depending on the environment in which they are found under normal operating conditions, the intumescent paints can/must be overpainted with finishing paints, even coloured ones; in environments that are completely exposed to atmospheric agents, solvent-based intumescent paints protected with polyurethane finishes must be used.
All the intumescent paints we offer are qualified in authorised laboratories according to the European standard EN 13381-8 and are CE marked.
