Perlite Italiana - PERALIT® 25

PERALIT® 25 is a coarse-grained expanded perlite suitable for thermal insulation of non-walkable roof spaces, dry floors, wall cavities and chimneys.‎ Unlike other glassy rocks, pearlite has the ability to expand its volume up to 20 times its original volume when heated to high temperatures, close to its softening point.‎ The expansion is related to the presence of water that has remained confined in the closed porosity of the rock due to the sudden cooling as magma escapes.‎
