PERLICAL® is a premixed powder based on Perlideck® expanded perlite, Portland cement 42.‎5 R and special additives.‎ The product is intended for use as a thermo-acoustic lightened substrate for the levelling of systems on inter-floor slabs and for the formation of sloping layers on flat and sloping roofs.‎ PERLICAL®, being characterised by a low density when laid, allows for high thicknesses to be created without overloading load-bearing structures.‎ The minimum recommended thickness is 5 cm.‎ Perlical® can be applied manually and by using normal plaster and mortar machines.‎ APPLICATION Preliminary operations to prepare the laying surface: - create reference posts to facilitate the creation of the envisaged thicknesses and any slopes - prepare seals in correspondence with openings and structural joints - carefully clean the laying surface and moisten the slab surfaces to ensure good adhesion to the substrate - protect steel pipes with suitable cupels or incorporate them in a cast of compact cementitious conglomerate with a passivating effect Mixing and forwarding methods: - add water to PERLICAL® in the necessary quantities (30 - 36 litres/60 litre bag) until a mix of the desired consistency is obtained, depending on the type of application Manual application - prepare the mix in normal concrete tumbler mixers or in suitable containers using propeller mixers until a homogeneous, creamy mixture is obtained - pour the mix directly onto the substrate - spread and level between the posts Mechanical application - use mixers equipped with direct-setting or pre-blended water dispensers; autoclaves with built-in mixers can also be used - distribute the mixed product using rotor-stator or piston pumps or peristaltic pumps equipped with pipes of a suitable diameter; depending on the power and head, the equipment can be used on the ground floor or raised to the laying surface - check the consistency of the material and adjust the water dosage if necessary - level or level the mix
