IGROPERLITE® mats are made of an inert substrate of Agrilit® expanded perlite in different grain sizes, chosen according to water storage and drainage capacity requirements.‎ The special 100% polyester calendered non-woven geotextile fabric with which the mats are made performs the function of filtering all materials from the growing substrate.‎ The thickness of the IGROPERLITE® mats must be determined according to the water storage capacity requirements, the thickness of the overlying cultivated substrate and the vegetation adopted.‎ On average this value ranges from a minimum of 4 cm to 15 cm; in special cases it is possible to apply the products in several layers.‎ PERLIGARDEN® brings together patented solutions for green roofs, roof gardens, roundabouts and grassed parking areas, fences, balconies and green walls.‎ The system is able to activate the conditions for optimal vegetative development, particularly in the Mediterranean climate.‎ Perliroof® is the Italian patented system for intensive and extensive green roofs, which are able to maintain optimal agronomic conditions even with limited thickness stratigraphy.‎ For extensive green roofs with reduced irrigation and maintenance requirements, Perliroof® Mediterranean extensive is born with GrowmatTM mats, based on expanded perlite.‎ Perliwall® and Perlifence® are designed for green vertical walls and for self-supporting fences and balcony parapets.‎ Perliparking® allows for grassed parking areas with high water storage.‎ PERLIGARDEN® is the system for greened roundabouts and traffic islands.‎ At the heart of all PERLIGARDEN® System solutions is Igroperlite® and all systems are a guarantee of quality and reliability.‎ Perlite Italiana offers a technical consultancy service during the design phase, making use of experts and landscapers.‎ A network of qualified applicators guarantees a personalised service in the realisation phase of the systems and in their maintenance.‎ All elements are manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001, are CE-marked where required and have been qualified according to the UNI 11235 code of practice.‎
