PERLIMIX® - Расширенный перлит для ячеистого бетона
PERLIMIX® is an expanded perlite with a grain size between 1 and 3 mm specifically developed for the creation of thermal insulating lightweight substrates. Expanded perlite is a light inorganic aggregate of natural origin that is obtained by the expansion, at high temperature, of a specific variety of effusive volcanic rock. The entire production process is characterised by the absence of VOC emissions, fibres, radon, toxic gases or dangerous particles: expanded perlite is an ecologically oriented product for the development of healthy and environmentally friendly building. PERLIMIX® expanded perlite is consistent with the Bioecological Architecture criteria identified by ANAB (National Association for Bioecological Architecture) and has obtained ICEA (Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification) certification. Sterile and non-combustible by nature, expanded perlite is characterised by a microcellular structure that performs the function of thermal insulation.
PERLIMIX®FEATURES
- PERLIMIX® makes it possible to produce lightened mixes of homogeneous and controlled quality.
- Different production, transfer and conveyance techniques allow for calibrated solutions to be adopted to suit the specific nature of the individual site and ensure high productivity.
- Appropriate dosages allow for thermal insulation or mechanical resistance to be favoured.
- No mixing with sand is required.
- The fluidity and pastiness of the mixes ensure the formation of regular, smooth, consistent surfaces with no shrinkage cracks.
- There is no shrinkage or cracking during product curing and drying.
- PERLIMIX® is not suitable for direct application to bonded floors, which must be laid on suitable (finishing) screeds.
- It has an excellent cost/quality ratio.
APPLICATIONS and FUNCTIONS of PERLIMIX®
PERLIMIX® is the ideal solution for making lightweight mixes on:
INTERFLOOR SLABS
- a perfectly levelled surface for the installation of flooring systems
- the integration of plant networks
- excellent soundproofing in combination with anti-impact felts
GROUND SLABS
- a barrier to rising damp (in combination with a waterproof membrane)
UNDERGROUND
- the regularisation of the floor
- a walkable, screed-resistant substrate
FLAT ROOFS
- the formation of the slope
- a regular surface for the direct application of the waterproof membrane or insulating panels
- a suitable substrate for the laying of squares, caulking
INCLINED SLOPE ROOFS
- a rigid support to which tiles, slabs, etc. can be directly anchored
- a smooth surface for laying undertile membranes
SHAPED PLATEROOFING AND SLABS
- a smooth, continuous substrate for the direct application of the waterproof membrane or insulating panels
- the formation of the slope
THEAPPLICATION OF PERLIMIX®
Perlimix® expanded perlite-based mixes are packaged on site using automatic mixing and pumping units equipped with pumps to deliver the mix at height.
These mixing and pumping units require limited space and can be mounted on special trucks with automated equipment, allowing for constant and controlled production.
PERLIMIX® is generally supplied in sacks or in big bags on request.
The use of PERLIMIX® expanded perlite-based mix
PERLIMIX® packaged on site is particularly recommended:
- for all surfaces and thicknesses
- for rehabilitation work in historic town centres with difficult vehicular access
The forwarding and distribution of PERLIMIX® expanded perlite-based mix at height is carried out by pumping.
This forwarding technique makes it possible to operate independently of the presence of fixed site structures and:
- facilitates the distribution of the mix over large areas
- simplifies the laying over small areas divided into different locations
- makes it possible to serve casting areas that are difficult to access
In order to optimise casting operations, a number of complementary operations are necessary:
- creation of reference posts or strips for easy creation of the desired thicknesses and any slopes
- preparation of casting restrictors at structural joints
- thorough cleaning of the laying surface for better adhesion of the mix to the substrate
- protection of steel pipes, to be incorporated into the screed, with compact cementitious paste or with suitable waterproof and continuous tiles or sheaths. Plastic pipes must also be adequately fixed
- levelling the thickness of the conglomerate using an American rule or other similar tools
- levelling with shingles or trowels
- separating the subgrade concrete slab from the lightened screed by using waterproof sheets with sealed joints turned up at the edges to control rising damp and allow the overlying concrete slab to cure properly.
The PERLIMIX® expanded perlite mix does not require additional smoothing.
