VERMICULITE FINE with a grain size of 0.‎5 - 3 mm for agricultural use Fine vermiculite is a mineral of lamellar appearance belonging to the mica family.‎ It is a natural product that, when subjected to irreversible heat treatment at high temperature, expands, losing the combined water, and acquires excellent characteristics of lightness (100 +/- 20 kg/m3) and insulation.‎ After expansion, the product undergoes careful screening to obtain a product with a super fine grain size of between 0.‎5 and 3 mm, characterised by a neutral to slightly alkaline pH.‎ Thanks to its lamellar structure, it guarantees high water retention, good water drainage capacity, as well as adequate exchange and accumulation of nutrients.‎ Being a porous material and an excellent thermal insulator, it protects the root systems from sudden temperature changes and guarantees their oxygenation, as well as keeping the temperature of the nutrient solutions constant.‎ As it is a mineral product it is also rot-proof, sterile, chemically inert and pathogen-free, maintaining its characteristics and performance over time.‎ Loose mineral aggregate.‎
