Perlite Italiana ISOLATEK® TYPE M-II - Огнестойкая штукатурка
Isolatek Type MII is a compact fire-resistant plaster based on expanded vermiculite and Portland cement, for applications in the petrochemical industry, to be applied by hand or sprayed with pre-plastering machines.
Non-toxic, completely free of asbestos and crystalline free silica, Isolatek Type MII is a resistant and stable product over time, specifically designed for fire protection of steel and reinforced concrete structures, in civil and industrial environments with high fire load and rapid flashover, such as chemical factories and petrochemical refining plants.
Isolatek Type MII can be used both indoors and outdoors and can guarantee fire resistance classes for more than 4 hours of exposure (REI 240), through the use of suitable thicknesses.
On steel and pipe-rack structures, compared to protection made with traditional concrete, thanks to its limited specific weight, it allows rapid installation and reduced permanent loads.
On reinforced concrete elements, in addition to guaranteeing the required degree of fire safety, it protects the outermost surface from the "spalling" phenomenon (i.e. the explosive detachment of parts of concrete due to instantaneous thermal shocks).
On LPG (compressed liquefied combustible gas) storage tanks, it allows protection against fire for up to 4 hours, according to the GASAFE programme.
Type MII fire-protection plaster is characterised by a compact monolithic light grey surface, which can be left rough with orange peel, or smoothed with metal trowels or soft polyurethane rollers.
Under normal operating conditions, ISOLATEK TYPE MII is not subject to dusting and is particularly resistant to accidental impact, abrasion and weathering in general.
Isolatek Type MII can also be used as a final topcoat for lightweight plasters to increase their surface resistance.
Isolatek Type MII has undergone numerous experimental qualification tests at authorised laboratories and is certified to the highest internationally recognised standards.
