Durock Energy Plus is a rigid, uncoated, dual-density rock wool panel with high compressive strength for thermal and acoustic insulation and fire safety on pitched and flat roofs (warm roofs).‎ Pitched roofs: particularly suitable for wooden and ventilated roofs to increase acoustic performance and winter and summer comfort.‎ Application Flat roofs: recommended for applications where waterproofing is achieved with synthetic or bituminous membranes, with specific application methods based on the project.‎ When properly installed, the higher density side, identified by a special marking, faces outward.‎ Advantages Dual density and mechanical properties: the panel features a more rigid outer layer that allows for optimal distribution of applied loads.‎ The high compressive strength (point and distributed load) makes the panel a solid support for the roofing framework and also ensures optimal walkability during installation and maintenance, on both flat and pitched roofs.‎ Thermal performance: The combination of thermal conductivity and density ensures excellent living comfort in both winter and summer.‎ Dimensional stability: The panel does not undergo dimensional or performance variations with changes in ambient temperature and humidity.‎ Acoustic properties: The open-cell structure of rock wool improves the soundproofing performance of the roof in which the panel is installed.‎ Laboratory acoustic insulation tests are available.‎ Fire behavior: Rock wool is noncombustible, helps block the spread of fire, and can significantly increase a structure's ability to contain it; it is an ideal insulation material for fire-resistant structures.‎ Vapor permeability: the panel, thanks to the μ value equal to 1, allows the creation of “breathable” closing packages.‎
