ROCKWOOL ITALIA FRONTROCK PRO
Frontrock Pro is a rigid, uncoated, dual-density rock wool panel for thermal and acoustic insulation of external insulation systems with high thermal performance.
Application
The panel undergoes a specific treatment during the manufacturing process, making it suitable for the harsh conditions typically encountered in exterior insulation. When properly installed, the higher density side, marked with a special marking, faces outward.
Advantages
Thermal Performance: Thanks to its excellent thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/(mK), the panel is ideal for creating highly efficient building envelopes. The product is available in a wide range of thicknesses up to 280 mm.
Fire Behavior: Rock wool is noncombustible, helps block the spread of fire, and can significantly increase a structure's fire-retaining capacity. It is an ideal insulation material for fire-resistant structures.
Dual density and quick installation: the panel features a more rigid outer layer that facilitates dowelling, smoothing, and finishing, and a less dense backing for optimal adaptability to the substrate. The lightweight and easy-to-handle panel, thanks to its 1000x600 mm format, speeds up installation.
Dual density and acoustic properties: the external insulation system can be schematized as a "mass-spring-mass" mechanical system, which is naturally engineered into the dual density of the panel. The higher density layer increases the external "mass" of the system, while the less dense backing optimizes the "spring" effect. Laboratory acoustic insulation tests are available.
Vapor permeability: the panel, thanks to a μ value of 1, allows for the creation of "breathable" closure packages.
Dimensional stability: the panel does not undergo dimensional or performance variations with changes in thermal and humidity conditions (essential for the durability of the external insulation system).
