SHERLOCK
Wall-mounted pendulum MDF clock
SHERLOCK reinterprets the pendulum through an essential and measured presence, in which movement does not fully reveal itself, but is instead suggested.
The slender, slightly inclined vertical structure meets the circular dial, creating a composition built on simple proportions and a deliberately graphic balance. The forms are reduced to their essence, yet they maintain a strong and recognisable presence on the wall.
The pendulum is only partially visible through a narrow opening in the body of the clock. Its slow oscillation appears and disappears, transforming movement into a discreet, almost secret detail that accompanies the passing of time without dominating the form.
Colour helps define the relationship between the different elements, allowing SHERLOCK to take on either more tonal or more contrasting interpretations, while always preserving the clarity of the composition.
SHERLOCK thus preserves the pendulum’s most ancient gesture, while bringing it into a more contemporary dimension: time is not displayed, but revealed through a movement that is only just perceptible.
