ZAKI explores the relationship between solid and void through a deliberately asymmetrical circular composition.
The dial is partially crossed by a perforated outer ring that allows the wall to enter the design and creates an overlap of planes. The form seems to open and close at the same time, generating depth without weighing down the composition.
The reading of time remains concentrated in the central core, while the outer structure expands the sign of the clock and gives it a more architectural presence.
Colour emphasises the relationship between the different surfaces and can make the contrast more evident or keep the composition within quieter tonal registers.
ZAKI is born from the balance between geometry and subtraction: a clock in which even emptiness becomes part of the form.
