CDF Win is a programme for the calculation and design of cast-in-place, prefabricated lattice, prefabricated slab (bausta type), prestressed joist or mixed timber/concrete floors subject to loads of various types.
The graphical input makes use of a specially designed CAD with direct on-screen pointing functions of the structural elements (supports, spans, distributed loads, concentrated forces and torques, etc.) that allow rapid input and easy control of the data provided.
The input phase is also accompanied by an option for online consultation of the archive of sections, divided by type, which allows sections to be viewed or entered, showing them on the screen with their actual shape.
The spans, belonging to a single floor, can have different sections, in shape, size and type, span by span, and also be inclined.
The manual input phase can be omitted in the case of connection with the CDS Win programme, which automatically generates all the data necessary for the calculation of the slabs (geometry, load magnitude, load alternations according to the lines of influence of the slab under consideration, etc.), deduced from the drawings of the carpentry plans provided in CDS Win.
Up to fifty different load combinations are available in order to represent all possible load alternations. The calculation is conducted with finite element analysis, assembling the global stiffness matrix of the continuous beam from the beam matrices with three degrees of freedom per node.
The distributed loads can also be partial and trapezoidal. The presence of concentrated forces and torques in any position is also considered. Verifications are conducted according to the ultimate limit state method; in the case of prefabricated beams or slabs, self-support checks are also carried out.
The reinforcement is calculated in ten sections, which always include notable positions such as the point of maximum moment and the end points of the solid bands.
