CDW Win is a particularly advanced programme for the calculation of the most frequently used rigid retaining structures. In particular, the following types are implemented: reinforced concrete corbelled walls, reinforced concrete walls with internal or external buttresses, gravity walls (including dry-stone walls) with a straight profile or with steps upstream and/or downstream, gabion walls and weakly reinforced semi-gravity walls. Each of the types described above also has specific input methods that allow special design problems to be defined, calculated and verified. For corbelled concrete walls, for example, the elevation face can have a broken profile. It is also possible to define a contrasting corbel embedded in the embankment upstream to increase the stability of the structure; or a corbel downstream to simulate a support for loads acting on a bridge abutment. The foundation may be either direct with tapered corbels, horizontal or inclined, with a possible foundation lug upstream or downstream, but also on piles or micropiles, vertical or inclined, arranged in one or more aligned or staggered rows.
In the case of micropiles, moreover, there is a management of the profile input via a special graphic archive.
