HYDRO BLOCK Hydrophobic block made of cellular concrete ideal for building the first course of masonry It was created from the functional need to eliminate thermal bridges at the base of masonry and at the same time inhibit the transmission of any rising damp from screeds or foundations.‎ It is available in 2 different densities, suitable for both partitions and load-bearing masonry in seismic areas, and also in 2 different heights (25 and 12.‎5 cm) to meet different design requirements.‎ BLOCCO IDRO succeeds in combining the thermal insulation and compressive strength properties of cellular concrete with the guaranteed protection against rising damp guaranteed by the use of specially designed water-repellent emulsions.‎ Compared to other solutions, it offers greater workability and greater shear strength.‎ In addition, its homogeneity allows it to be adapted by cutting and sanding to any site situation.‎ Fields of use: Block IDRO is ideal for making the first course of bricks at the base of traditional and GASBETON® masonry in order to inhibit the rising damp and at the same time reduce linear thermal bridges.‎ It is suitable for both internal partitions and external masonry, including load-bearing masonry in seismic zones.‎ It is useful in basements, ground floors and in all areas where there are balconies or terraces with a risk of water stagnation.‎ Product preparation: Block IDRO is delivered on pallets ready for use.‎ It does not lose its protection even if it is cut.‎ Application: The IDRO block must be laid on a suitable layer of MALTA ANCORANTE IDRO.‎ For the laying of subsequent Gasbeton blocks use specific INCOLLARASA adhesive.‎ In the case of bricks, use cement mortar for traditional masonry.‎ If more than one course of Blocco IDRO is to be laid vertically, glue them with INCOLLARASA using a special toothed trowel, taking care to offset the vertical joints.‎ Gasbeton® is a cellular concrete building system produced from natural raw materials, and therefore sustainable, and with a low environmental impact production cycle.‎ It is a light product, easy to work with and, in line with EU policies on energy and the environment, guarantees excellent performance in terms of thermal and acoustic insulation, mechanical resistance and fire resistance .‎ By varying the density, it is possible to create highly insulating blocks (low density) and very resistant blocks (high density).‎ The range therefore includes blocks to suit all requirements.‎ EVOLUTION can be used for internal partitions, for large fire-resistant masonry, or for infill masonry, even with a load-bearing function in low seismic zones, ENERGY is suitable for single-layer infill masonry that does not require a thermal coat, SYSMIC allows ordinary load-bearing masonry to be built even in areas of high seismicity, ACTIVE, which is lightweight and strong, offers excellent performance in both winter and summer for external masonry in nzeb and passive buildings without the addition of thermal coats.‎ The system is completed by ARCHITRAVI, special CANALETTA and FORATO blocks, adhesives and levelling compounds.‎
