T*SOL is a professional dynamic simulation software for dimensioning and optimising solar thermal systems.‎ In T*SOL 5.‎5, the Swimming Pools and Large Plants modules are integrated! Unlike almost all programmes distributed in Italy, T*SOL calculates the performance of solar collectors by taking into account all the parameters involved, analysing the hourly temperature trend (which influences losses) and the stratification of the storage tank (which influences heat exchange).‎ It is therefore not limited to the monthly parametric evaluation required by the UNI standard.‎ The meteorological data, which is provided for numerous locations in Italy, Europe and the world, can be updated and integrated with various climate generation modules, including Meteosyn (supplied with the programme).‎ FEATURES AND PERFORMANCES The T*SOL 5.‎5 software includes complete plant systems for the production of domestic hot water and for domestic heating integration.‎ A facilitated design path makes it easy to obtain all the data required for system evaluation.‎ New in T*SOL 5.‎5: the Swimming Pools and Large Plants module are integrated, and the Photo Plan function has also been integrated, which allows the photorealistic representation of the collector field on the roof of the building.‎ Main functions Extremely fast simulation of dynamic plant behaviour It was developed for professional use and contains a wide range of commercial products (flat panels, vacuum tube panels, tanks, exchangers, etc.‎).‎ A design 'assistant' allows for quick evaluation of the air catchment area and tank volume.‎ Only a few seconds are required to simulate operation.‎ Profitability calculation: The programme makes it possible to assess, on the basis of investment costs and forecasts, the profitability of the system and the duration of amortisation, taking into account public subsidies.‎ Characteristic collector data: The programme comes complete with the technical data for flat plate collectors and evacuated tube collectors.‎ It is possible to enter the data of any collector, even one that is not in the archive.‎ One of the strengths of the programme is the possibility of simulating evacuated tube collectors with or without reflectors.‎ Meteorological data: The programme has meteorological data on radiation and air temperature for thousands of locations recorded hourly and referring to a whole year.‎
