The CAPS (Precompressed) programme enables the analysis, calculation, design and verification of:
- prestressed prestressed beams
- beams with generic sections
- beams with variable sections (total compression partial compression).
The most frequently used cross-sections are: rectangular, T-section, double T-section, inverted T-section, U-section, tegular, Y-section.
CALCULATION METHODS Performs
the calculation taking into account the tension drops in the cables due to the phenomena of elasticity, shrinkage and viscosity in the concrete, relaxation in the steel.
Performs the calculation of the beam during its various life phases: cutting of cables, transport, lifting in place).
INPUT DATA-
Definition of travelling load conditions to simulate possible mobile loads
-
Insertion of prestressing cables with generic layout
-
Definition of the mechanical characteristics of the prestressing reinforcement (wires, braids and strands)
-
For the design of the reinforcement, setting of: cover, diameter of reinforcement rods, minimum percentage of reinforcement in tensioned and compressed zone
OUTPUT RESULTSd
analysis concluded CAPS (Prestressing) allows the display of:
- Verification for stresses
- Verification for flexural failure
- Verification for shear failure
- Verification for cracking
- Verification of any supplementary cast-in-place
- Insertion of concentrated or distributed loads with linear trend
- For each combination, it is possible to display the stresses induced by prestressing and those resulting from the acting loads.
