The SAX (Section Design and Verification) programme allows the analysis and calculation of general sections. It allows sections in reinforced concrete, steel or any other material to be analysed.
The types of sections that can be analysed are:
- Rectangular section
- Circular section
- T-shaped section
- Double T-shaped section
- Chamfered double T-shaped section
- L-shaped section
- U-shaped section
- Trapezoidal/triangular section
- Hexagonal section
- Octagonal section
- Rectangular hollow section
- Circular hollow section
- Generic section
ANALYSIS
OPTIONSThe analysis options that can be used are:
- Verification and design at allowable stresses and ultimate limit states for sections in c.a. sections
-
Verification at allowable stresses and ultimate limit states for other types of material
INPUT DATA-
Definition of generic sections for points, also multiconnected
-
For stresses, assignments of: tensile or compressive normal stress, bending moment X, bending moment Y, shear in direction X, shear in direction Y.
-
For reinforced concrete sections, reinforcement is defined per side by specifying diameter, cover, interference and arrangement.
- The design of the reinforcement for reinforced concrete sections is carried out considering the deflected bending for any type of section.
RESULTS OF OUTPUTAd
analysis concluded SAX (Design and Verification of Sections) allows the display of:
-
Diagram of normal and tangential stresses, the position of the neutral axis, etc
-
M-N interaction diagram
