IS GEOSTRATI is the software for the numerical interpretation and graphic representation of the results of S.‎P.‎T.‎ (Standard Penetration Test), D.‎P.‎ (Dynamic Probing) and C.‎P.‎T.‎ (Cone Penetration Test) tests performed in situ.‎ The use of the programme is intuitive, each command can be accessed via the Main Menu or from the icons on the toolbar or from the contextual menu using the right mouse button.‎ The programme has a dedicated cad, the MiniCad, which draws the stratigraphy, allowing the choice of the screening from more than 60 available, its dimensions and represents the stratum or strata that may be present.‎ At the same time, the trend of total vertical stresses, effective vertical stresses and hydrostatic pressure is illustrated.‎ Both graphs can be queried by double-clicking the mouse, which will display the value and elevation of the selected point, expressed in the unit of measurement chosen by the user.‎ The programme performs the calculation of the geotechnical parameters of the ground, in particular of relative density shear strength angle elastic modulus shear modulus undrained cohesion liquefaction potential shear wave velocity degree of overconsolidation In order to determine these values, numerous correlations are available, taken from technical literature; the user can choose which of these to apply, also thanks to the indications provided regarding compatibility with the soil or the type of instrument.‎ The results are represented graphically, as a function of depth, by means of coloured histograms, which can be saved as images, or in the form of tables, which can also be exported to Excel®.‎ The results are calculated at a step chosen by the user, at the centre of the layer, or an average value of the entire layer.‎ Further details For the C.‎P.‎T.‎ test, it is possible to use the classifications of Begemann, Schmertmann, Douglas & Olsen and Robertson, and automatically derive the stratigraphy.‎ In the case of continuous dynamic testing, several tools are provided: DPL, DPH, DPSH, Agi - Meardi and Medium Light 30-20 or DL=30; it is also possible to define a "user" penetrometer with the characteristics desired by the user, which must provide the correlation parameters with the S.‎P.‎T.‎ test.‎ For each type of test, a model is available that shows the stratigraphic trend and representation of the measured data; in addition, another graph shows the values obtained for relative density and friction angle.‎ Is GeoStrati allows the automatic drafting of an extremely complete report in Word®-openable format.‎ The stratigraphy can be printed directly from the main page according to the scale and graphic options chosen by the user.‎
