CDM Dolmen

IS PROGEO is a compendium of small geotechnical modules useful for the general design of structures in contact with the ground.‎ This software is an important tool for the basic study of soil-structure interaction and completes the structural calculation from a geotechnical point of view, as the individual applications can be used in cascade with the omnia IS CDM Dolmen structural programmes.‎ The currently active modules are IS GeoRel, IS NaviGeo, IS IperFond, IS PortaPalo , IS PaliElas, IS PaliSol, IS SpintaMuro, IS CedoEdo, IS CedoGran , IS DBStrati, IS DBProveSPT and IS DBProveCPT.‎ THE SOFTWARE MODULES IS GeoRel: a new module to generate the geotechnical report with the explication of the characteristic values of f, cu, vs and Dr, fundamental parameters for SLU verifications; IS GeoRel has a mainly engineering approach and the data can be read from the other geotechnical project modules (IS Plinti, IS Muri and IS Palificate).‎ Is NaviGeo: i.‎e.‎ the GEOTECHNICAL NAVIGATOR, is the new module that allows to gather all calculation reports of the foundation elements in one single summary and to generate a printout of only the most significant elements (bearing capacity and settlements).‎ Is HyperFond: module for calculating the bearing capacity of surface foundations in the case of multi-layered soil and with the possible presence of a water table.‎ Given the load cases, which can also be exported from the 3D CAD structure, the software automatically applies all the coefficients required by NTC 2018.‎ Is IperFond performs general fracture verification, using the Brinch-Hansen method, and puncture verification, according to the theory developed by Vesic.‎ It is possible to have the sole and/or embankment inclined, to choose between rectangular or circular foundations, between point foundations (plinths) or continuous foundations (beams).‎ Performs verification under seismic conditions.‎ Is PortaPalo: module for calculating the bearing capacity of a pile foundation in accordance with NTC 2018; automatically proposes safety coefficients.‎ The software uses all the best-known calculation methods in the literature (also based on the results of penetrometric tests) and recommends the most suitable ones depending on the type of pile considered (infixed, drilled, continuous helix or micropile) and depending on the layer analysed.‎ Is PaliElas: module for calculating overhead stresses on piles immersed in an elastic soil connected at the top to a rigid foundation.‎ The results also consist of the rigid displacement components of the foundation.‎ Using the theories of Randolph, Fleming and Timoshenko, the programme derives the effects of soil-structure interaction on the case of a pile consisting of several piles, however inclined.‎ The stresses obtained in the IS PileSol module and from Is Piles can be imported.‎ Is PaliSol: is the module for the calculation of stresses at the head of piles, in the three-dimensional case.‎ The results of the analysis consist of the six rigid displacement components of the foundation and the actions acting at the head of each pile.‎ These values can be exported to the Is Piles programme in which the individual pile is verified and the bearing capacities are calculated.‎ Calculates the equivalent constraint for a group of rigidly connected piles in DOLMEN.‎ Is ThrustWall: module for calculating actions on a retaining wall; the module, point of application and inclination are provided.‎ The programme gives the possibility of entering a separate upstream stratigraphy from the foundation and downstream stratigraphy; it performs tilt, slip and bearing capacity checks.‎ An upstream soil inclination can be given and a strip load can be inserted there.‎ Is CedoEdo: module for the calculation of edometric subsidence.‎ The programme follows the one-dimensional method proposed by Terzaghi (1943), which can only be used in the case of cohesive soils.‎ A foundation with a rectangular or circular footprint and uniformly distributed load is considered.‎ The calculation can be performed using the compressibility coefficient of the soil or the compression and recompression indices or ratios.‎ Is CedoGran: module for calculating the settlement of surface foundations on sandy soils using the Burland and Burbidge, Schmertmann and Berardi and Lancellotta correlations.‎ The settlement, immediate and deferred in time, is calculated from the results of dynamic penetrometric tests (S.‎P.‎T.‎) or static penetrometric tests (C.‎P.‎T.‎).‎ Is DBStrati: a module that allows the definition of a database of stratigraphies and mechanical characteristics of soils.‎ Thanks to this useful database, it is possible to define a "predefined" stratigraphy for each job, so that programmes already open with the relevant data loaded.‎ Is DBProveSPT: module allowing the definition of a database of S.‎P.‎T.‎ penetrometric tests IS DBProveCPT: module allowing the definition of a database of C.‎P.‎T.‎ penetrometric tests These modules interface with Excel-type spreadsheets by means of "copy and paste" and give the possibility of defining a "predefined" S.‎P.‎T.‎ or C.‎P.‎T.‎ test for each job, so that the programmes already open with the relevant data loaded.‎ Is DBStrati, Is DBProveSPT and Is DBProveCPT manage two separate databases: a 'general' one, where data from different jobs can be entered, and a 'local' one, specific to the current job.‎ These modules provide the possibility of comparing and copying data from the 'general' level to the 'local' level and of searching files of old jobs.‎ The programmes return data visualisation in drawing and table format.‎ IS PROGEO is updated to NTC 2018.‎ IS ProGeo allows the automatic preparation of a final report in RTF (.‎rtf), HTML (.‎html), Word® (.‎doc) or text (.‎txt) format.‎ Each chart and the report can be printed on a Windows-managed device.‎ Data copied from an Excel® worksheet can be pasted into each chart.‎
